SUPBALL Instructor & Referee

Being a SUPBALL Instructor & Referee is the perfect position for someone who loves teaching, interacting with customers from diverse backgrounds and being out on the water.

Teaching people a new skill in an ocean environment is an exciting and rewarding challenge!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver standup paddleboard (SUP) lessons to SUPBALL customers according to SUPBALL standards;
  • Referee Official SUPBALL Competition Games
  • Deliver Official SUPBALL Competition Training Sessions
  • Provide engaging experiences for a range of customers including school groups and large corporate bookings;
  • With the Head of Operations plan lesson structures that suit on water conditions as well as the abilities and expectations of the group;
  • Ensure that waivers and other safety documentation are signed and filed according to set processes;
  • Assist in marketing campaigns to achieve desired objectives. There is potential for this role to develop to include​ providing and managing​ content for websites, blogs, newsletters and social media platforms;
  • Follow safety procedures to ensure the protection of passengers, personal belongings, and vessels whilst under your instruction;
  • With the Head of Operations discuss potential risks to customer safety and arrange and implement solutions;
  • Direct safety operations in emergency situations.
  • Adhere to NSW Maritime and Manly Kayak Centre boating regulations;
  • Ensure that other reasonable duties and or projects are completed upon request.

SUPBALL Scorekeeper

Working as a staff member for SUPBALL is the perfect position for someone who loves the water and being outdoors. At times, the business can be extremely busy with a lot going on, so applicants must be able to multitask and work efficiently while keeping a high level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Announcing the start of games
  • Keeping accurate scores during games
  • Working with the SUPBALL Referee to maintain a record of penalties issued during the game
  • Setting up and packing up of scoreboard and promotional materials
  • Completing equipment checks under supervision of Operations Manager
  • With the Operations Manager discuss potential risks to customer safety and arrange and implement solutions
  • Follow safety and maintenance procedures to ensure the protection of customers, staff and equipment
  • Follow direction in an emergency situation
  • Adhere to NSW Maritime and Manly Kayak Centre regulations
  • Ensure that other reasonable duties and or projects are completed upon request.
